This is a question we get asked alot. Typically, the bridal shower is thrown by the Maid/Matron of Honor but has also included the help of the bridesmaids to help with the costs. Traditionally, family members do not throw the bridal shower, but times have certainly changed, especially since many of the bridal attendants are related. Sometimes office workers will throw their own shower for the bride to be able to congratulate and celebrate with her especially if they know in advance that the guest list will be comprised of a small group of family and friends. What you need to remember is that typically those that are invited to the shower should also be on the wedding guest list.
